Lieber Herr Purdy,
Herzlichste Gratulation |

Dear Mr. Ikaia-Purdy,
I wish to repeat here the heartfelt congratulations my son and I offered you at the artist entrance following last Sunday's Manon Lescaut performance. If such were possible, we think your DesGrieux topped even your gorgeous Jose here in Stuttgart. And although we had wished to see Fr. Dobrzanska, Fr. Niessen was a lovely surprise. Please do remember to send my son an autograph foto in the envelope he pressed into your hands when we met.
Most respectfully,
U. Rosbach |

Dear Sir,
I attended your San Sepulcro recital with Chiara Chialli last Spring. Belated bravos for a wonderful evening. I recommend that you upload some of your videos to youtube. Of course many excellent ones are already there, but your "O paradis" is among the finest I have ever heard! It deserves wider circulation. For that matter, so does the "Amor ti vieta." I look forward to your return to London; as far as I can tell from your website, you had only one very well reviewed Garden performance in Alzira. Trust me, we need you. My best regards for your admirable artistry.

Hello Keith,
I've never been fortunate enough to see you perform, but I knew your mother and father well. I worked at Camp Smith with your mother in the late '80's and met your dad on many occasions. They were very proud of you and Fi kept all of us in the office up to date on your career.
If I ever get back to Europe, I'll check your schedule and perhaps I can catch a performance.
Best regards,
Ron Wheeler |

Dear Mr. Ikaia-Purdy, I see I am the second one to write about your Pinkerton last weekend. You met my wife and me in the theater cafe and signed our program after the performance. I wanted only to say again what a pleasant surprise to find opera and singers at such a great level in Karlsruhe my new home. That's a big complement from the son of a old Met chorister. Please congratulate Miss Dobrazanska as well. We are coming with more ex-Pat friends to your Tosca tomorrow night. Break a leg! John Sanchez |

Dear Mr. Ikaia-Purdy
Yesterday (29th Jan.08) I attended your concert in Karlsruhe. Your performance as Mr. Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly really blew everyone away. Your voice also matched wonderfully with Barbara Dobrzanska. As I write and record symphonic metal music, I got new inspiration for new songs through you. Thank you! Best regards. Roger Buchmann |

Many thanks for your performances here of Jose. Please understand that I do not like this production. I have seen it three times but cannot sort it out. But you were so good that I forgot the bizarre stage picture. My son, who is studying opera in the conservatory (also a tenor) and I loved your singing very much. It is long since we have had in Stuttgart a dramatic tenor not German. We look for your soonest return. (We are also Bergonzi fans!) |

Dear Mr. Ikaia-Purdy,
My congratulations to you for your exellent Don Jose here in Stuttgart. I am been many times to your successes in Ludwigburg, and have been reading of your work in Karlsruhe. Bravo. I would like an autogramm and foto for my personal collection, when you could be so kind.
Toi toi toi for the next Jose - quite a hard and strange production for you. Bravo! I will come for Manon Lescaut in Karlsruhe.

Dear Mr. Ikaia-Purdy,
I'm a civiilan employee for the USAF. I read your name, and just had to see the Kaiserslautern Trovatore. Kaiserslautern doesn't get casts like this very often. My wife used to sing with the e-chorus. We came with a group for your second performance last week on the 7th. Wow. You blew us away. Your fellow performers were right up there with you. Congratulations. The production is wild! Guantanamo jumpsuits right? But you have such a great voice and didn't scream through the role the way most tenors do. Great high C! Made us forget the crazy surroundings. We are coming as a group down to Karlsruhe for the Butterfly premiere, and maybe again in December for the Trovatore. Hope to hook up and check the family tree. Congratulations "cousin."

Dear Mr. Ikaia-Purdy. My husband and I just joined youtube this morning. After surfing around we can onto some videos of you there. We recognized you from a wonderful Elixir of Love you did in Vienna a few years back. Bravo for your wondeful, relaxed voice. My husband is a voice teacher -and marvels at your choice of "morbido" style these days when it is so rare. Please put us on any email notice list you have when you sing in the US again. (We need you after all the necktie tenors we have been having here of late.) Bravo. And aloha! Maria & Robert |

Dear Mr. Ikaia-Purdy,
I found your page by accident, searching for a video of "Without a Song." Glad I did. I sang in the chorus of a Verdi Requiem at Davies Hall about 15 years ago with you. Not at all surprised to see you have gotten on so well. In addition to the great video and sound examples, I found your "view from the stage" fascinating. Thanks for that. I know you still have alot of fans here in the Bay Area - so I will certainly pass your web address on.
Best for the future,
Mark Johnson |

Dear Ikaia,
Great homepage Cuz! We met after a Don Carlo in Vienna back in 2002. Awesome. Anyway you gotta get home soon. BTW my Oahu friend who emailed your site info to my wife ('cause she knew we had met and are big fans,) is, like us, not too impressed with this HOT business. We read between the lines, and still think you are being way too nice - too much the local boy. Anyways - up to you. Hope to hear you soon. Oh and my wife says "great the E O Mai!" Teach those Europeans local music!
Alohas from Lahaina! |

Keith,
I just want to say that you need to come home and perform for the people of Hawaii. I have never seen you sing (maybe you been away too long) but from your clips you are amazing. I was told by a friend to check out your page and you honestly rock. This friend of mine had seen you perform recently and loved you. I want to be able to have the chance to love your work and maybe meet you in person. Please consider in coming home. Best wishes for the future and hope to meet you soon. |

I have first seen Ikaia-Purdy some 12 years before in a concert of the Friends of Italian Opera in Ladenburg. Since then I have followed Ikaia-Purdy to Hamburg, Vienna, many times in Ludwigsburg. The Wilhelm Tell aria in final Schiller Gala is never to forget. Now we are happy he is singing so often in Karlsruhe in our near. For my wife and I is one of our favorite belcantists. Now on second Christmas Day we have enjoyed again Boheme from Puccini- beautiful belcanto! Bravo Ikaia-Purdy. And toi toi toi for Barcelona gala.

Dear Keith,
What a thrill it was to see you in La Bohme in Karlsruhe. You are a great talant. Continue singing the great roles that will enhance your growth as an artist. I hope you will be singing soon with the SF opera. We could use your talents and remarkable vocal quality. Great video clips. Keep them coming.
All the best for the future. |
